Milestone

Holy cow ... I'm under 140kg, I am so excited by that - happy happy happy ... things are moving well this week - really pleased!!!

I haven't been very 'good' lately, so today is a whole new day - starting fresh ... drinking lots of water today, just having what I should - no extra junk - that's my goal. Go me!!!!

Busy evening ahead, going home to cook 3 meals, tonights and the next 2 nights as I have aqua aerobics on tuesday nights, so always cook a casserole like dinner the evening before so it can just be reheated when we get home, but this week I have hairdressers wednesday night, so cooking chicken fettucine for then .... I love an organised kitchen.

6 months post surgery = baby making

Other than of course to become a better, healthier, sexier me ..... my biggest problem is PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) so it is extremely hard for us to fall pregnant.
Hubby and I have been married over 18 months and are really eager to start a family, but first I need to lose a massive amount of weight.
Hopefully by losing 40-50kg, my ovaries might get their shit together and start maturing eggs.

Fingers crossed and send me baby dust!! I need all the help I can get.

Anyway on my first appointment with my surgeon last November, I was told that I needed to wait 6 months after surgery to start TTC (trying to conceive) so come the 2nd of Augsut 09 - it was BD Day (Baby Dancing day) lol ... go us ..... think my body needs more time, but doesn't hurt trying hey???

I can't believe I have lost 15.9kg since New Years Day. I'm so proud of myself.
For the first time ever of being on a diet, I can see the road ahead rather than focusing on the 'bad food choices'. I can't wait for another couple of months to 'see' the physical result in photos ... wohoooo ... GO ME!!!!!!

Tues 3rd Feb 09 - 1 day post op

*entry from paper journal*
Day after surgery. Feeling good so far. Went visiting Margie (brother in laws mother who had same day surgery) at 4.30am this mornin, I could hear her chatting to her roomate so I was nosey and went to investigate.
Physically doing well, walking, getting up and down ok. Have to support stomach while doing so for slight pain - largest incision where the port is the most painful but bearable - more of an ache.
I was pretty dozy after the surgery - my first ever hospital stay. Hated coming out of the anaesthetic in recovery, freaked me out a bit, wanted to rip the tubes from my nose and arms ... eeewww.
Slept relatively well during the night, only really woke up when the nurse came in.
Margie and I went walking around the ward at 6am as well as the adjoinging ward, that was nice and early - think the nurses were a bit shocked to see it.
Very restless today and not wanting to lie in bed, preferring to sit instead, it's less aching on my back.

So all n all - feeling fine, wait for Dr Watson's visit to see if I can go home.
Fingers crossed.

For the record, the nurse informed me the doctor isn't coming till late, but if I feel fine, I can go home - so by 9am - I was on my way. 26 hours in hospital all up!!
Happy :)

1st February 2009

1 month down - day before surgery. *entry from paper journal*

Still took photos but can't see much of a difference, but I guess it won't be too noticeable for a while yet, except in my tummy when I face right (maybe I am lopsided)

Losing cm's though, feeling proud of myself, feel I'm doing pretty great so far.
